Born in 1962 in Caracas, Venezuela. Jorge Andrés Castillo is a graphic editor and photographer who studied Communication at Essen University, Germany and graduated in 1993. Returning to Venezuela, he taught photography at the Architectural School of Universidad Central de Venezuela for more than 20 years. In 2001 he was charged with the task of modernizing the photography department of the most important newspaper in Venezuela, El Nacional, where he became the Director of the Photography Department for six years. Castillo participated in the photographic registry of Central University in Venezuela, which contributed to the inclusion of this campus as a UNESCO Cultural Patrimony in 1999. Castillo has exhibited in the United Staes and Venezuela, and his work is included in well known galleries and museums of the country. Solo Shows: Grietas invisibles at Galería Cubo7 in Caracas in 2011, at the Centro de Bellas Artes of Maracaibo in 2012, in the Sala de la Asociación Cultural Humboldt in Caracas in 2013 and at ICL Studio in Miami in 2016.
